Huo Luo Oil is a traditional Nanyang medicine formulated by our founder’s great grandfather who came to Singapore from Guangdong in search of a better life. He trained in martial arts from the age of 5 and started out as a coolie worker at the docks before opening his own shop to teach and help treat injured workers in the old Tekka area. Here he formulated his own ointments to treat Chinese, Malay, Indian workers and the elderly until his death in his 50s.
 
In addition to the Muscle Relief Oil, the great grandfather also formulated a Rheumatism Oil (Qianli Zhuifeng Oil) specifically for the elderly. Both of these formulas were passed down to our founder who decided to recreate these products as a tribute to his ancestors and to provide relief to those who needed it.
